Serge Lutens — Santal Blanc
Decanting from 2001 bottle (exactly like the one on the image).
Not the dark, resinous Lutens most people expect — this is sandalwood turned soft, milky, and almost floury, with cinnamon and a faintly herbal fenugreek edge that keeps it from reading as simply creamy. Pink pepper and iris add a quietly powdery brightness before the warm, buttery sandalwood takes over completely in the drydown. Linear and skin-close rather than dramatic — which is either a disappointment or exactly the point, depending on what you came for. The most approachable of the three Lutens sandalwoods and an excellent transitional season fragrance.
Notes:
Top notes: Pink Pepper, Cinnamon
Middle notes: Iris, Fenugreek
Base notes: Sandalwood, Musk
