A Middle Eastern spice market rendered in perfume — dates, dried figs, raisins, and candied mandarin peel steeped in cumin, clove, and nutmeg, all swirling over a thick resinous base of benzoin, myrrh, and labdanum. Rich and heady but never cloying — the spices keep the sweetness honest and the dark woods ground everything into something genuinely noble. Fall/winter only, and not a blind buy. A decant is the right way to meet it first.
