Serge Lutens — Ecrin de Fumee

Decanting from 2023 bottle (exactly like the one on the image).

A jewel box of smoke — and everything inside it is decadent. The opening is a genuine sucker punch of boozy rum and bitter cacao, dense and slightly shocking, before tobacco settles in and takes over with rich, pipe-smoke warmth. Think cognac-filled chocolates left in a smoking room lined with dark wood. The sweet and the smoky push against each other throughout without either winning, which is exactly the point. Bold, uncompromising, and one of the strongest recent releases from the house.
